Searching for that perfect scent...

Perfume:parfum, eau de parfum or eau de toilette?? So many options.... how do you chose which is best for you? Warning: Long post ahead.... I don't usually splurge on many things, since I consider myself a savvy shopper. However when I do splurge on a bottle of perfume, I usually have a coupon. Like Sephora's 15 off 50 for the beauty insiders. Last year I bought the Candy by Prada; Which I absolutely love!!! Unfortunately I only got that one bottle and I ran out before the next sale. I was left with only a few bottles of fragrance mist sprays from Victoria's Secret & bath and body works.  Along a few sample sized bottles of eau de parfum and eau de toilette that came with my online purchase from Sephora. I'm in desperate need for a nice scent.  A scent I can use daily and not get tired of. & so, I decided I was going to go on a hunt for my new perfect scent. On this search, I came upon this guide (which I'll link here ) for you lovely readers to r...

Time flys by! My son's first day of pre-k

Backstory: My son is 4 years old and will be turning 5 this year. He wasn't able to start pre-k last fall because he was really lazy on the potty training. I wasn't sure if he was going to be ready & I didn't enroll him on time. Fast forward to today... 10:50am: I had to rush out of school when my class ended. Rushing to go meet my partner & son at his school. I was nervous and anxious the entire morning. I can count the people I trust with my son in one hand. Leaving him with strangers was making me feel uneasy. But all that went away once we were in line waiting for his teacher. I could tell he was also nervous. Sitting on the box of wipes we brought in. Quietly and thoughtful. I wonder what was going through his mind!?!?! (The school supplies list had a box of wipes listed. We usually buy a box with 5 packs for our home. & that's what I bought for them.) 11:30am Pre-K teachers finally show up. We walk with them to class a...

Last week I entered a super fun giveaway from Strut_official on instagram. It was a back to school giveaway.  As I've mentioned before, I'm currently completing my degree. Happy National Thrift day!!!

National thrifting day is today August 17, 2017. It's time to go out & pop some tags! 😁 Like Macklemore says, "I'm gonna pop some tags, only got twenty dollars in my pocket." I have a confession... Before I started with the reselling business, I had never stepped foot in a Goodwill or thrift shop. The first day I did go to the thrift shop, my mind kicked my a**! I was deep in the racks, but I felt like I was itchy all over. Got home and took 2 showers. Which is beyond ridiculous and wasteful. One thing I love about reselling is that I am recycling clothes. Helping the environment, by keeping these clothes out of the landfills. I will definitely make a post with more information and facts over how much resellers and thrift shoppers actually help the environment. I've definitely gotten better with controlling myself and my thoughts when I go thrifting.  I enjoy going thrifting alone, without my son.  ( I don't need any distractions while hunting f...

Calling all moms to the playground...

Becoming a parent has been the most wonderful experience. However with the experience came an inevitable change.  I went from having time to do what I wanted, when I wanted. To having a tiny human depending on me.  Not only for the basic reasons. But also to raise him to be a productive member of a better world.  As a first time mom I didn't have a clue what I was doing. To be quite honest, I hardly remember the first year... I was determined to put my son before anything. Even if that meant myself. I made the decision to stay with him and not return to work. (Not that I had a huge career to get back to.)  But none the less, I felt I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I didn't want anyone else raising my child. I had a small social life. Only because my friends also became mother's around the same time I did. For the first year postpartum, I literally had maybe two pair of jeans that fit me. I didn't make time for myself. There wasn't time to cut my hair. No ...

Fall must haves without breaking bank...

Fall is coming.... The time to update our wardrobes is now. The fun thing about trends is that like a train, they always come back around.  While I like a good trend, I don't like breaking bank. I've mentioned before about being a savvy shopper.  I like to find pieces of clothing that I will be able to wear even after the fad ends.  So I have compiled a few pieces that can definitely give any one's closet a fresh look and still keep up with the seasons trends. For Fall 2017 we can expect to see more gold and glitter outfits.  Pieces that will remind us how much we love our beds and a good night sleep. Velvet is back from last Fall.  Patchwork will also be making it's comeback.  Amongst other pieces such as over sized coats, fringe and tassels. I have expressed before my love for poshmark.  These wonderful pieces can be found there. First let me start with the gold pieces. These looks will help you shine brighter than ever.  How amazing is th...

Current obsession-A pair that made it's comeback...

Trends are fun and I will be sharing my current obsessions with all of you in a series of posts... Currently I am obsessing with high waisted jeans & vintage "mom jeans".  I love that they can accentuate my hips and bottom (for lack of better word). 😁 The best part is they help my waist look smaller. Who doesn't want to showcase a smaller waist?!?! While I enjoy a good pair of jeans, I absolutely love the high waisted look. I like tucking shirts into jeans and can't get enough of the crop top look. I admire the bravery from all the beautiful women who rock it.  High waisted jeans make it easier for me to wear a crop top, since I'm not fully comfortable showing my full mid section. If it weren't for this trendy jean, I wouldn't be able to rock crop tops. (which believe me, I'm still getting used to wearing.) "Mom jeans" a popular trend from the 80's has made its way into our closets, and is here to stay. (at least in my close...
