Current obsession-A pair that made it's comeback...

Trends are fun and I will be sharing my current obsessions with all of you in a series of posts...

Currently I am obsessing with high waisted jeans & vintage "mom jeans".  I love that they can accentuate my hips and bottom (for lack of better word). 😁 The best part is they help my waist look smaller. Who doesn't want to showcase a smaller waist?!?!

While I enjoy a good pair of jeans, I absolutely love the high waisted look. I like tucking shirts into jeans and can't get enough of the crop top look. I admire the bravery from all the beautiful women who rock it.  High waisted jeans make it easier for me to wear a crop top, since I'm not fully comfortable showing my full mid section. If it weren't for this trendy jean, I wouldn't be able to rock crop tops. (which believe me, I'm still getting used to wearing.)

"Mom jeans" a popular trend from the 80's has made its way into our closets, and is here to stay. (at least in my closet). While some pairs have been modernized by popular fashion retail stores such as Urban outfitters and forever 21.  Thanks to sites like eBay, poshmark and others. many of us can also enjoy the classic vintage "mom jean" look.

Currently my favorite pair of high waisted jeans are from Target.  Yes that is correct, Target! Or Tajey as some like to call it. (joking) 😁

However I am on the search for a vintage "mom jean" pair & so my search has begun.

I will be posting some of my favorite "mom jeans" I found on poshmark.  Visit their closets and shop the "mom jean" look.

Vintage Levis are perfection. With a high waist and relaxed leg. They can flatter any body type. They can be dressed up or down. Pair them with an ankle strap sandal similar to these and you will be set to go.

These are some of the high waisted jeans Target has to offer. They have more of a skinny jegging look rather than relaxed. So if you like them and can't get enough of them like me. I suggest you run and order a pair or two.

This year I will be turning 30!!! Where and how that happened? I have no idea,,, What I do know, is that it has taken me a very long time to accept myself.  As a matter of fact, I'm currently still working on it.  Through the years I have struggled with learning to love myself.  Never completely content with my appearance.  Whether it was my teeth, face, features, body.  You name it!  In the past I have even contemplated getting surgery. What stopped me? The money of course! As well as the scary stories told by friends.  Which often times they hear from others.  Postpartum, I suffered from weight gain.  It took me years to loose the weight.  Even then, my body is not perfect.  Does that define me? Do my looks define me? Of course NOT! I know that; However that doesn't change the fact that I obsess over my weight, and constantly weigh myself. My point with all this rambling is, that it's never too late to learn to LOVE ...

Play! By Sephora September box...

This is a really late post/review for my Play! By Sephora box. I apologize but I have been swamped. School & life have been getting in the way. Adulting... amirite?(insert side eye) My first box arrived September 16. The second box arrived October 17. (I will be uploading the October box in a separate post) September box review: I was excited to open it, even though it's not an actual mystery box. (I also saw many posts spoiling the box contents) My favorite product is the perfume sample (of course, since I'm currently obsessed with perfume samples) check my searching for the perfect scent post here . The Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumnizing Fiber Gel is also something fun for me to try. Since my eyebrows are light & thin. This is definitely a product I could be interested on in the future. Florals for spring, groundbreaking!

Spring break means spring has arrived. (& that my son got a week off from school) <help!> T o celebrate and to get some much needed adult time, I went out for dinner with friends.  I also wanted to secretly take my new purse "out to town".  I mean, what better way to complete an outfit, than with a "spring-y" bag.   I paired this beautiful  top with jeans and nude ankle strap low block heels. (Also, I previously wore this top for my son's 5th birthday party ). The top can be worn off the shoulders or as a loser relaxed shoulder style. (As previously worn) It features bell sleeves and is a perfect transitional top. These shoes are slowly becoming one of my fave pair. I'm a big fan of the ankle strap heel look, and the fact that these have a low block heel make me very happy!  I also love that the heel features a cork look.
