It's been two weeks since my son started pre-k. & three weeks since my classes begun. Life cannot be more chaotic for us than how it currently is? (I'm positive there are bigger problems than ours.) But I will continue being a drama queen for now.
Here's a recap of what our lives have been like these past weeks.
Day 1- I picked up my son from school, only to hear the teacher say he got in trouble. He wanted to play with something else and didn't listen to the teacher's instructions. His words were "I had a bad day, let's get outta here!"
Day 2- After letting my son know he needs to listen to everything that the teacher says and follow the rules. I nervously dropped him off. He seemed calm and ready to face the day.
Time for pick up & I get the news; He got a time out during P.E. for pushing kids. My son claims he was "touching" them. Either way I told him to keep his hands to himself.
Day 3-It was pick up time and I was cringing waiting to hear how his day was. & He had Great day!!!! The teacher said she could tell he was trying really hard to listen and behave. I was so happy and relieved that he finally had a great day.
Unfortunately by Day 4 we both got sick. But he still kept up with his good days at school.
I hardly get sick and it is the worst when I do. This time was no exception. What's worse is my schedule was affected. I'm still trying to catch up with my assignments and studying.
Thankfully we had a 3 day weekend for Labor day holiday. We didn't do anything special. Just trying to catch up with never ending chores and errands.
How do you mommas keep up? Between school drop offs and pick ups and dinners etc.... I just feel more overwhelmed than usual. I have been "planning" to meal prep, but I haven't gotten around to making the meals ahead.
I'm really hoping I can accomplish my goal of staying organized and on track with our hectic lives.
On a bright note- my giveaway box of goodies finally arrived!!!! I wrote about it here.
Here I am rocking my mules.
While enjoying a much needed coffee break. 💖 Which by the way I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks pumpkin spice latte at all. I've tried them at Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and Mcds. By far my favorite is the one from Mcds. But I do love the pumpkin loaf!!!
Who else is obsessed with the pumpkin spice life?!?!?!
I hope you enjoyed reading all about my drama queen life! jajaja & please let me know any tips you have to get through the school year without feeling overwhelmed.
Xoxo,
Carla
Side note: Yes, I laugh in spanish and cry in spanish too!!! Jajajaja
