Poshmark gifts with purchase...

As a reseller my objectives are to make my customers as happy as I can; and reduce waste by extending the life of pre-loved items.  Recently I've seen other resellers debate on whether gifts should be included with purchase on poshmark. (Since some gifts with purchase can be considered an addition to the waste produced by the retail market.) Some resellers believe adding a gift with purchase, will only add to the waste produced.  I respect all opinions on the subject.
                                &
On that note, I want to share some practical gifts you can add to your poshmark sales.  They will keep your customers happy and your expenses low. All of these options can easily be re-gifted by your customers.

Personally, I love clearance shopping. After holiday clearance, usually includes lots of goodies that are not holiday specific. Recently I got these cute note cards at Target for thirty cents.  These would be perfect for a handwritten thank you card.  I've previously also found sticky note sets on clearance. Sticky notes are practical and can easily be re-gifted to co-workers, or teachers.

Pencils are another item that are not only economical but practical.  If you have kids, you know you can never have enough pencils in your home. I found these packs at Target for ten cents per package! You can always pick up pencils at the dollar store or Michaels (using a coupon, of course)

Cute pouches are always practical. I've included the gold ones before. Also found after holiday clearance.
Also post holiday clearance finds. My faves & only .50 cents each!

These nose strips I found at Marshalls are also a fun little addition to any package. They were $2.99 for a box containing 18 strips.  That makes each .17 cents.  Obviously you don't know your customers skin care preference. However these strips can also be easily re-gifted.  What I like to do when I receive products as gifts with purchase from Sephora, Macys, Nordstrom etc.., (and I wont be using them) is save them all and give to friends/family.  They love picking and choosing from the products.  Because who doesn't love free stuff?!?!

These usually come in Magazines.
Food keychains are post holiday clearance.

I wrote about these brush makeup remover wipes before. You can read that post here.  These are also perfect for a gift with purchase, and will cost you cents.

Now I know some resellers dislike giving gifts with purchase because they feel that a small item would not be appropriate to add to a $100 plus sale item. & small expenses add up when you own a small business.  However these gifts with purchase don't need to be added to every single sale you make.  I've only sent out a few. When I did, it was either an apology gift for something I overlooked.  Or I was just in the giving mood.  A small random act of kindness never hurt anyone.

Check out @_delicate_thorn beautiful posh packaging.  She included sunscreen which can be very helpful to anyone. Even if the specific brand is not her customers preference.  A customer can easily re-gift it. She also adds stickers, tea, or sticky notes. Adorable and practical! Amirite?...

I would stay away from adding perfume samples as gifts with purchase.  Poshmark packages are shipped with priority mail labels.  Perfume can only be shipped via ground shipping.  Also candy is something else I would not add to my packages. (But that's just a personal preference.)

Thank you for reading my thoughts, feel free to share your thoughts on gifts with purchase.
Xoxo,
Carla

Getting comfortable in my own skin...

This year I will be turning 30!!! Where and how that happened? I have no idea,,, What I do know, is that it has taken me a very long time to accept myself.  As a matter of fact, I'm currently still working on it.  Through the years I have struggled with learning to love myself.  Never completely content with my appearance.  Whether it was my teeth, face, features, body.  You name it!  In the past I have even contemplated getting surgery. What stopped me? The money of course! As well as the scary stories told by friends.  Which often times they hear from others.  Postpartum, I suffered from weight gain.  It took me years to loose the weight.  Even then, my body is not perfect.  Does that define me? Do my looks define me? Of course NOT! I know that; However that doesn't change the fact that I obsess over my weight, and constantly weigh myself. My point with all this rambling is, that it's never too late to learn to LOVE ...

Adulting isn't easy...

Being an adult isn't easy... How many of us have heard these two words before?... Adulting sucks... My thoughts on "adulting" are the following. Not everything about being an adult is bad or "sucks". & when times are tough, it won't last forever. But for the most part, there are many times an adult can feel more than defeated. I have had my share of moments; Moments when I am exhausted.   Exhausted of having to deal with all these things. Things I had no clue about when I was a kid or teen.     I constantly find myself questioning why I was never told about what it's really like to grow up. What it's really like to be an adult.  I feel that to be considered a real adult. One should be living on their own and paying for rent and bills. We all know that when we live with our parents, (for the most part) we have all their support. Economically speaking.  Even if you are working, you can count on them to help you. If you're short o...
